Main Street Magazine Photo Gallery

Main Street Magazine Photo Gallery

You may know Main Street Magazine as one of the area’s monthly magazines, and we thought to ourselves that we have two great things working for us: 1. we’re fortunate to have great photographers and we showcase their work in the magazine, and 2. we have great gallery space in our office. So why not open a gallery – showcasing our photographers and other photographers in the area? And that’s exactly what we’ve decided to do!

The 14th Colony Artists

The 14th Colony Artists

The 14th Colony Artists is an informal egalitarian organization for artists who live near Millerton, NY; in NY, CT and MA.  We facilitate artists in the area meeting one another, providing all sorts of  support for each other, finding opportunities for themselves and other artists. We are committed to being a group whose focus is on artists as individuals as opposed to any particular accomplishment or work they may have achieved or done. The group has had success in creating new friendships and closer ties of a large number of artists.

When possible we arrange shows of our work. Shows are open to all members. They are never juried. There are no fees to join and no obligations to membership.

Much of the communication for the group happens on-line in emails and on Facebook. Occasionally we have a formal meeting of the membership.

We are members of Fractured Atlas, an art’s advocacy group, which offers artists various services. Some members have obtained reasonably priced health insurance through them. They are on the web.

So, welcome to the 14th Colony Artists we are happy you joined us. We are on Facebook and our web site: The 14th Colony Artists. For more information: The14thcolonyartists@hotmail.com
