Innisfree Gardens

Innisfree Gardens

20 minutes south of Millerton on Route 44, Innisfree Gardens has been called one of the “world’s ten best gardens.”  The work of landscape architect Lester Collins, the gardens merge the essence of Modernist and Romantic ideas with traditional Chinese and Japanese garden design principles. The garden evolved through subtle handling of the site and the slow manipulation of its ecology. www.innisfreegarden.org.
